My story

My mum has been fighting cancer for the past 8 months, Lanarkshire Cancer Care Trust (LCCT) has helped the family so much more than we could ever write down (not to forget the great job our NHS has performed).

The Charity relies on donations and fundraising to enable them to continue to provide the service.

My proposal; A charity football match on the 17th Feb at the John Cumming stadium. It will be a Motherwell FC V Old Firm Select with a 3 pm kick off.

The event was a huge success and 10x the original target was reached. Can't wait to do it all again next year!!

Having reached over £1000 (more than double my initial Target), it just proves that communities do exist and help each other. This is turning into a great event. Donations have been received from as far as Croatia and even Japan. Thanks to everyone so far. Gareth
