Story
Thanks for visiting my page.
As many of you will know, my close friend Kev tragically passed away after crossing the finish line in last year’s Great Birmingham Run. The exact cause of his death is still unknown, but for some reason his heart just stopped. Kev was the keenest of competitors and so it is a fitting tribute that a group of Kev’s family and friends will be competing in the same race this year in his name. I am honoured to be among their number. On what will be an incredibly emotional day we will be raising money to support the continuing excellent work that Cardiac Risk in the Young do to prevent sudden cardiac death in the young and support those affected by it.

To make this a more challenging tribute, I will also be running in my first (and probably only) marathon, which is in Berlin three weeks before the Great Birmingham Run. I’m not sure I will be happy about looking at a pair of running shoes again so soon, let alone plodding around another half of the distance, but I am determined to complete this for Kev. Any donations would therefore be gratefully received.
