It's 2010 and my next adventure awaits. This year I will be forcing some friends to drive to Mongolia with me. From London. In a silly looking jeep. The long way round. The 10,000 mile way round.
It's all part on the 2010 Mongol Rally - there will be no set route, just a start and finish line. Everything in between will be up to us.
On July 24th we commence our road trip through Europe to Turkey, onto Iran and through Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia and Mongolia.
That's a lot of Stans! We will be driving on bad roads, worse roads, and no roads for this huge trip with no support vehicles, no help and no mechanical know-how whatsoever.
You may ask why are we driving across a third of the earth's surface. Well it's to raise gigantic sums of money for charity. It's all for the kids so we're giving to the Christina Noble Children's Foundation so we will help the abandoned or homeless children to get a new chance in life with a safe place to live, education, and all the support of a family.
