Story

Hello All,

If you didn't already know I have had a great year so far and loss over 8 stone in weight since the 14th January and feel as if I have my life back and living again. You could say like a new man!!  Take a look at the before and after photos of me.

To celebrate this I have decided to do the Coast to Coast Challenge to raise money for The Exeter Royal Academy for Deaf Education ( Kallums school ).

They are going to use the money raised to buy tents and equipment to enable the deaf students to participate in  the Duke of Edinburgh's Awards scheme, which I think is fantactic for them.

The challenge entails cycling 60 miles from Minehead on the North Devon coast to Exeter and then canoing 7 miles to the Turf Locks on the South Coast. This will take 2 days and the team ( there will be about 10 people doing it ) will be camping out for 2 night.

The Challenge takes place on the weekend of the 9th Octber 2009 and I am training well with lots of running and cycling to build up my fitness.

Please help me to raise my target of £200 and hopefully make it more and in doing so help to celebrate the NEW ME !!

Cheers Gareth.
