I am climbing Kilimanjaro on the 13-07-11 to raise money for Autistica ( registered charity number - 1107350, an autism based charity ).

As I work with autistic children I find this a very relevant and worthy charity to raise money for.

An estimated 1 in 100 people worldwide have an autism spectrum disorder, which is an enduring disorder that arises from atypical development and functioning of the brain. People with autism have difficulties communicating and forming relationships with others and find it hard to make sense of the world around them.

Autistica is a leading charity funding biomedical research into autism in the UK. This research is vital in the understanding of the causes of autism, and is designed to help scientists discover more effective interventions and treatments.
