I decided to challenge myself this year and a 100 mile bike ride seemed like a good idea on paper so I've signed up for the CARTEN100.

100 miles on a bike might sound like an easy day out for some people but when you're overweight, unfit and haven't ridden a bike for 15 years it poses more of a problem, but training has started and its raising money for a very worthwhile cause so there is no backing out now!

Unfortunately over the last few years I have been to Velindre Cancer Centre to visit family members and I can't stress enough the amazing work they do. You will not find a more professional, caring and dedicated group of people who support everyone (patients & family members) through some very difficult times.

If you could support me in this challenge and give a little to a very deserving cause that would be great. Thank you and I will do my best to do it justice.

I am completing the ride in memory of Anne Fielding who was cared for by the team at Velindre and who is very much missed.
