Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page for the local Big-C Cancer charity.

Last year saw the untimely death of my best mate, Peter Ryan. I had known Peter since the mid 70s when we were both in the Army.

Both Peter and I worked in nuclear medicine in the Army's military hospital in London. Nuclear medicine is used to diagnose and monitor the spread of cancers. Ironically both of us have had tumours. My stomach and duodenum were removed seven years ago and I am now "all clear". Peter was diagnosed with a bowel cancer of unknown origin a few years back. He underwent a number of courses of chemotherapy but, as is with these things, the inevitable happened last September 18.

This August sees Sandra, my wife, and I taking to the skies only to jump out of the plane at some 13,000 foot and to freefall back to earth. Not being that stupid we have elected to be strapped to someone who knows wht they are doing.

In memory of my mate Pete and to make the insanity of jumping out of a perfectly serviceable plane worthwhile I am fundraising for a local cancer charity, the Big C. I hope that you can find it in your hearts to make a donation, however small, to this worthy cause.
