If you are reading this then you are just one step away from leaving a legacy that will last though the ages. This is the defining moment of your life when you stand up to be counted as a hero. Immortality is yours.........so take it!
Ok so that was a little dramatic but what you are about to do is still pretty important. I can't promise you riches or medals or glory but i can guarantee you a warm fuzzy... feeling inside which is kind of like a medal you wear on the inside.
On the 10th July Gary 'fat boy' Knight is running the London 10k for The Parachute Regiment charity. The Parachute regiment charity is a special organisation dedicated to supporting our hero's and their families of the airborne forces. The things theses guys do is totally awesome. For example:
Bespoke wheelchairs
Equipment to enable an amputee to enter Paralympic cycling
Travel and accommodation costs for soldiers attending commemorations such as Arnhem and Normandy
Helping towards special mobility vehicle for a soldier’s disabled child
Travel and hotel costs to enable families of those killed to attend memorial parades or services
Soldiers’ adventure training and sports teams
Family days aimed at providing support and communication during deployment
Transport costs for overseas relatives of wounded soldiers
Help with family funeral costs
The reason this charity is soooooooo darn important to me is that my father served in the regiment including tours in the Falklands and 2 in Northern Ireland. He came home in one piece. Not everyone does. Also i have a number of friends who have/are serving in Afghanistan. This is also for them.
So if you like the thought of Gary 'monkey boy' Knight trying to do 10k inside an hour please go on my Just Giving site and sponsor me!

Yes i know times are hard but i'm sure we can all spare a quid. So in the words of celebrity scrounger Sir Bob Geldof "just give us yer fuckin money"
Also for those of you who can make it i will be celebrating surviving the race by getting pissed. Come along and i might just get the beers in.
And remember......ask not what your Gary Knight can do for you but what you can do for your Gary Knight!
