An ageing society is a social issue with loneliness and isolation in particular being a major issue for older people - 1 Million older people go a month or longer without speaking to anyone they know.  

At work,  I manage field based teams of employees and suppliers and they visit people in their homes on a daily basis and therefore see this issue first hand.  

We've decided to do something tangible to help and have launched a  '£100k for Age UK' social purpose . We have partnered with Age UK to raise funds and provide practical support with the ambition of raising £100k by the end of 2016.

This is the 1st small step in our journey - we are excited to see just what we can achieve by creating a common purpose across our teams - and any donation you are willing to make would be help us get off to a great start for Age UK!
