On Weds 11th April Rob and I completed a tandem skydive to raise money for the Toni & Guy Charitable Foundation. No, they aren't hairdressers. They're a fantastic bunch of people who are building a new state-of-the-art children's ward at the King's College Hospital for the Variety Club.
Thanks very much to everyone who has donated and if anyone reading this hasn't sponored us, because you missed the email/forgot/were skint at the time/etc then you still can - cheers!
Here's a bit more about the day and the reason it was worth doing:
We threw ourselves out of a plane at 10,000 feet, fell through the sky at 120mph for 3,000 ft and then parachuted the final 7,000ft - all for a great cause.
40,000 children are treated at King’s every year and it is renowned for providing quality services for children who travel from across the country for specialist treatment, particularly in the fields of liver disease, neurosurgery and cystic fibrosis. The new ward makes sure that the Variety Club Children's Hospital can continue to provide the first class care they are renowned for.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thanks again to everyone who has supported us
Gary
