about me

Slightly rounder in the middle than I'd like to be, and at the time of writing I could probably run for a bus if I had to, but only if it was less than 50 yards away. like most men of a certain age I would love to be slim and fit,  however me and will-power have never been on first name terms.  So in the name of "incentive" I've signed up for the

Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride on the 14th of July 2013.

 

The Charity

The Christie needs no introduction and does great work in cancer research and the care of patients From Manchester, Lancashire and the surrounding areas.

Obiously they are the named Charity for the event, but on a personal note I have lost Friends and Colleagues to cancer over the last few years and the Christie has also taken care of several members of my wifes family who have had cancer and are sadly no longer with us.

And Finaly

This is a big personal challenge for me given the time I have set myself to prepare for it and not having done any long distance rides for quite some time, but somewhere in the back of my Mind I think it's Do-able. I have set a fundraising target which I think is modest but acheivable but if it exceeds It then so much the better. All donations on or offline and any moral support will be gratefully received and accepted.
