Story
Hello Again!!
Still hoping to get some more money for the Shoreham RNLI station. Aiming for £2k. Even though the Three Forts has been and gone as I know many of you are coming out of hibernation and are getting back out on the water, so if you're reading this please donate to a worthy local cause!
This year I was hoping to run both the Brighton and The Three Forts Marathons, however as some of you may know at the begining of April whilst skiing off piste I went off a cliff. More details here.
As cliffs go it was quite substantial, circa 50 - 60 foot, I am very very lucky to be alive and whilst I'm back on a bike, I have not been running as I'm still quite sore. Hence the reason I only ran the Half.
This is a copy of a message sent to me by the Race Director, so no pressure then!
Hello Gavin,
I hope you will be running in the 3FC again this year. We are trying to up the interest in the event for the sake of the RNLI. The Shoreham RNLI boathouse is due to be finished this November so it is important to help their appeal.
You said you hoped to run again this year. I haven’t seen your entry yet. Will you be using your website to generate funds again?
Let me know how you are doing. If you are doing too much in April you could always swap over to the Half Marathon.
Best wishes,
. 3FC Race Director.
So please be generous, we will make sure that all funds raised will indeed go to the RNLI Shoreham - I know it's late in the day but I was really none too sure if I could take part!
