When I was 15 years old I was diagnosed with lymphoma, which is a cancer of the white blood cells. My doctors and nurses treated me and got me better, and I have now been in remission since I was 16.

I went back to school to study hard for my A-levels and then went on to Durham University, and now I am researching for a PhD at the University of Cambridge, working on research into a childhood lymphoma which is sponsored by a Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research grant.

LLR funds research into blood cancers all over the UK, making significant advances into the diagnosis and treatment of these diseases.
