We need your help to bring the future of medical imaging to Sheffield.

Story

I've run the Great North Run Sheffield Half Marathon before and said never again, i prefer pubs to gyms and nightclubs to running clubs so it has to be a very worthwhile cause to drag me out of either and encourage me put myself through the pain and misery of another half marathon.

We are raising funds towards the University’s £2 million fundraising campaign for the Sheffield Scanner - a ground-breaking MRI-PET scanner facility, and the first of its kind in Yorkshire.

The Sheffield Scanner will represent the next leap forward in medical and imaging research and have a crucial role for research and patients in many areas of medicine, including cancer, neurodegenerative diseases such as Motor Neurone Disease, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s, heart disease, diabetes and stroke.

We’re well over half-way to our target of £2 million – please support us and help us reach our final goal!
