Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am keen to support this great charity, as it was on hand, supporting my family, when my father was battling cancer. Macmillan Nurses and staff offered support, advice and guidance to both my parents, and to be able to support this worthy cause, is an opportunity I could not turn down.

For those people who know me, athletic and slim of build, are not words that can be used to describe me, but I want to support this cause, so the challenge is something that I relish.

I now have my bike, and have started to use it, and can confirm that 12 miles on a modern road bike saddle is far from comfortable.

The original aim, was to complete 50km, about 30 miles but we are now looking at collectively riding the whole Basildon to Cambridge leg, circa 65+ miles, which will be a challenge.

To be able to support Macmillan, and celebrate the 10th Anniversary of telent, by joining my colleagues, walking, running and cycling 1100km, from all of telent's main sites, ending in Warwick, is a great thing to be able to participate in.

If you can donate, to my JustGiving page, or to any of my colleagues, participating in this event, then I would be greatful, as I want to raise as much money as possible, to support the work that Macmillan do, so that other families can be helped through difficult times, in their battles with this disease.

Thank you, and may the training (and pain) begin..........
