It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I found out this January my father is dying of pancreatic cancer.  At only 63 he may only have 9 months.  Despite being in and out of hospital, it has taken two years to diagnose, and if it had been diagnosed during this time, we may not be worrying about how long we have left with him.

Unfortunately, my story is a common one.  Less than 4% diagnosed with pancreatic cancer survive beyond 5 years, yet pancreatic cancer receives 1% of cancer research funding in the UK, despite being the 5th most common cause of cancer death.  Survival rates have not increased in the last 40 years.  Because of such little research, it is extremely difficult to diagnose and remains poorly understood.

Help me raise money to make sure we save lives by increasing our research in this terrible cancer.  It will be too late for my Dad but let's make sure we change this for the future.
