On reaching 50 this year I decided that the main focus of my year would be to raise money for a charity in order to give something back. Whilst reaching 50 is no great milestone these days, there are many unfortunate people who don't make it that far.

My friends and I will be walking the Cleveland Way, all 110 miles of it, with the  money raised going to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, whose 90th birthday it is this year. Their work is as relevant today as it was then, so please help me to help them continue their excellent work of caring for and looking after the personnel of our Armed Forces. Please give generously.
