Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon · 11 October 2015 ·

The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

At the end of the second week in October it will be the 11th, which is a Sunday. On this particular Sunday (the 11th) over 16,000 runners will descend on Hyde Park to take part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon.

1/2 will be seasoned half marathoners, a 1/4 will be in fancy dress, and a small minority will be thinking why I am doing this? I haven’t trained and I don’t even like to run because it causes me to chafe.  BUT, the vast majority of runners (seasoned or chafed) will take part with the aim of raising money for one of many worthy causes.

I will be running for the Princes Trust, a charity focused on helping the youth of today tap into their potential and grow their confidence, regardless of background or upbringing! Give what you can, click the link and donate.
