On the 30th june just around luch time we will be taking part in a 24 hour, 400 mile cycle challange at the ProDrive race track in Warwickshire. The event is in aid of a great cause, which is to raise awarness for Break Through Breast Cancer, Action Cancer and the Marie Keating Foundation. 

Many people in the world have experienced the pain of Cancer, as it effects both the patient and family, who watch their loved one's suffering, and feel completely helpless at thier bedside.

GEM:    

My first experience of loss was at the age of 11, when I lost my Dad to Pancreatic Cancer. Since then, unfortunatley like so many people, I have watched other members of my family and friends fight a battle with cancer.

LOCHI:

Was a keen fund raiser back in his uni days and when heard about this event was keen to do his bit. This event is right up Lochi's street, with his previous sponsoring background and his new found love of riding to work, the challange suits him perfectly.

 

Its not just the mileage that makes this event challanging, it's the fact that all the riders will be pedaling the distance whilst experiencing the affects of hunger and lack of sleep. This whole combination makes it a difficult event, and all the riders will need support to keep cycling.
