Sorry for the short notice but I am running 5 km on Sunday 6th September in Hyde Park. This is the only run I am doing this year and it is for the Sarah Matheson Trust. This charity is based in my unit here in St Mary's and supports patient's and families who have been diagnosed with MSA a terminal but thankfully rare condition. As you probably know I work with Professor Christopher Mathias who is one of the world's leading researchers in this disease. Most people have never heard of MSA and getting a diagnosis can leave people feeling isolated and alone. Good quality, understandable information about MSA and its treatment can be difficult to find and the Sarah Matheson Trust provides support and practical help to patients and families.
