Story
Thankyou for taking the time to read this...
I rode alongside 56 women last year 150 miles from Gosport to Newhaven and back. This was a huge challenge for me and I wouldn't have finished it without the great support from my friends and family and would like to say a huge THANKYOU to everyone that sponsored me!
This year I have taken on an even bigger challenge. I will be organising the event again but this year it has got even more popular. This year we will have approximately 150 ladies taking part! Due to the organising and support involved in an event this size I will only be riding 60 miles this years but still worthy of a £ or ££!
The charity is very very close to my heart. The foundation provides holidays at Haven parks for children with life-threatening illnesses. It began with a close friend of mine son, Oakley was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and became terminally ill. He asked his parents to spend his last months at the holiday parks. Here he asked his parents if they could purchase the holiday home for other children in similar circumstances to enjoy. So it began... The charity now owns 2 holiday homes. The 8 berth static caravans cost £20,000.00 annually for the upkeep. In 2015 one of our holiday homes will be 10years old and howing its age and wear and tear so to carry on providing a quality holiday it needs to be renewed. so we are hoping to purchase a brand new caravan October 2015, to do so we need to cover the costs of the upkeep and £50,000.00+ for a new holiday home. If you can spare anything at all please do so, this is a great charity and it has opened up my eyes and heart to all the children in the world that aren't lucky enough to have been blessed with full health and many will not make it to adolescence. Help to provide memories to last a lifetime.
