Story

I am completing this years Coastal Walk in aid of Freshfields Animal Rescue because of the wonderful work that they do to look after sick, injured and homeless animals beofre finding them their forever home. I believe that every animal deserves a good life and that is exactly what is provided by Freshfields. You only need to look at the wealth of information on their website, along with videos, to see just how much care and devotion goes into their work. I always look to see if there is any more new on Inky, the little Shar Pei pup abandoned on a cold winters night just because he wasn't what the cruel "breeders" thought of as perfect. The attention given to Inky on behalf of the centre and kind donations has been astounding.

Whenever I think of the neglected animals out there I am reminded of my gorgeous cat who we rehomed after he was found with chemical burns all over his body. After a long road to recovery he is now the man about the house. Additionally our late dog (bless her, miss her everyday) was a cruelty case, found being physically abused on a cold Christmas Eve. As a little old girl we gave her a loving, caring and warm home for her last few years, enjoying every minute of them. Whilst they were not rehomed from Freshfields, they just prove that every animal, despite their history can form a loving bond and be a strong companion. The only way that animals in these conditions can enjoy a new start in life is through centres that dedicate time to their care, rehabilitation and rehoming.

In order to keep this up the centre needs generous donations from the public as this is their sole source of funding. I just hope to be able to give what I can in order to keep supporting the well being of all the lovely animals out there that deserve all the love and affection in the world. Everyone deserves a home.
