Gemma's 26.2 mile South Downs charity trek challenge · 26 September 2014

Mountbatten Hampshire is your local hospice if you live in Southampton or large parts of Hampshire. We are an independent charity providing 24/7 free care and support to people with any life-limiting illness and their loved ones. We also provide free bereavement support to anyone who needs it.

Story

I am taking part in a trek of 26.2 miles across the South Downs with work colleagues. I am doing this to raise money for the Countess Mountbatten Hospice Charity. This charity means a lot to me as it helped and supported a very close family friend, who I thought of as family, in her last few weeks before losing her battle with ovarian cancer. This is my opportunity to give something back to a charity which helps terminally ill patients and their families.

Please support and sponsor me in my attempt at this challenge. I'm still not quite sure what I've let myself in for. But it's for a good cause.
