Story
This year I wanted to put my mind and body to the test by taking part in a physical challenge in order to raise awareness and funds for Macmillan, a charity very close to my heart.
Cancer, unfortunately has taken somebody very special away from me and my family ..... and the number of people with cancer is growing every day. Having experienced what it is like for an individual and their family facing cancer, I know how important it is to have the support that Macmillan can offer.
In May, I will be taking on 8 peaks in just 8 hours in the Lake District, including Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England. It will be tough but I am determined to complete it and make it back in one piece.
Please, please donate if you can and help Macmillan reach and improve the lives of everybody affected by cancer.
- Just £2 can keep a typical Macmillan information and support centre stocked with all the information resources they need to support people affected by cancer for one hour
- £25 could pay for a Macmillan nurse for one hour, helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and emotional support.
