It was the hardest thing we've ever done, but we're all so proud of each other!! We are raising money for an 2 awesome charities called Africare and The Livingstonia Appeal- both charities based in Africa.&nbsp;</span></p> <p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 15.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Arial;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"><strong>Africare</strong> -&nbsp;<em>The focus of our work there is&nbsp;ACHERU - Afaayo (Luganda for He Cares) Child Health Education and Rehabilitation Unit&nbsp;- where our Ugandan staff provide care and treatment for disabled children. We have been engaged in work with disabled children for 10 years. Over the past 25 years Africare has engaged in a range of work in Uganda. We were responsible for the development and running of the Besaniya Children's Home at Mukono. From that base we developed a child sponsorship programme, and assisted with a number of community projects.</em></span></p> <p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 15.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Arial;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"><strong>The Livingstonia Appeal </strong>-&nbsp;<em>This charity offers its support for children orphaned by AIDS in Malawi through the charitable organisation set up by Una Brownlie - a close relative of us all.The money will be used&nbsp;</em><strong><em>directly</em></strong><em>&nbsp;for feeding, clothing and providing medicines and shelter for AIDS orphans in the rural areas around Livingstonia.</em></span></p> <p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 15.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Arial;"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
