Mud For Malawi: British Military Major Series North 10k Mud Run · 18 March 2017

The Zikomo Trust provides grants and funding for educational and social projects in Malawi aimed at helping the most vulnerable in society, orphans and the elderly. We award educational scholarships for orphans and a daily meal for over 100 at Malama Feeding Centre in the Thyolo district.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This summer I will be going to Malawi for over three weeks. During my stay I will be volunteering and working at many different places including Vikwa and Chimbowe Primary Schools, St Andrew's Orphanage, Malama Feeding Centre and a premature baby unit.

All donations will go directly to the Zikomo Trust, which provides grants and funding towards educational and social projects aimed at the most vulnerable in society, the elderly and the orphaned.

Malawi is the sixth poorest country in the world and it only costs £12.20 to feed an orphan for a whole year. All donations are very gratefully received, and will help to improve the lives of some of the most disadvantaged children in Malawi.

As part of my fundraising I will be taking part in a 'Major Series' 10k run organised by British Military Fitness. This will involve 20 obstacles including muddy bogs, log carrying, river crossings and a barbed wire crawl.
