Story
Every year I wear a different dress every day of December. It's fun, but it doesn't do anything other than give me something to blog about.
This year, I want to take Dressember to a new level and use it as an opportunity to raise some money for a cause that is close to my heart.
I know just 'wearing dresses' is not a challenge that warrants a donation from you, so I want to make it a bit more difficult this year.
There will be themes - like wearing a bridesmaid dress to work, or donning an evening gown to cook dinner. I will make some of the dresses, and wear things I've not touched in years. If you donate, you can make requests too (though I can't promise I'll be going to the gym in a party dress or attending a posh work function in my nightie unless you really dig deep).
Parkinson's UK does amazing work, and I'd love to raise lots money for them to continue providing support to Parkinson's sufferers and their families, as well as funding vital research that will get us closer to finding a cure for this evil disease.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Don't forget to tick the gift aid box if you're a UK taxpayer (freelancers - there's a whole section for this in your tax return so no excuses).
Please dig deep and donate now.
