Hello, 

 

So I will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in August 2014.  A huge challenge (and a one I was warned by many not to take on!! ;-))! But after hearing Sarah’s story and all the great work her foundation is doing a challenge one I am 100% committed to achieving!

 

I will update this page as training starts with pictures and what I am sure will be many a funny tale of me getting fit enough to climb the world’s tallest free-standing mountain….

 

NOTE: When writing this I googled ‘funny facts about Mt. Kilimanjaro’ to share with you all - turns out there are none!! Oh dear!! What have I let myself in for….. ;-)

About Sarah Groves Foundation

On April the 6th this year Sarah Groves was tragically murdered in Kashmir. The devastation that this news left behind is incomprehensible and indescribable. But due to Sarah's insatiable love of life, together with her desire to make a change in the world, and her determination to help as many people as she could - The Sarah Groves Foundation was set up. This Fund will focus on Sarah's inspirations, which came from art, children, adventure and fitness.It has full Trust status and is administered by the Guernsey Community Foundation www.foundation.gg

This Foundation will continue Sarah's legacy, which is all about love, helping others, and achieving your dreams.

 

Any donations are warmly welcomed, and thank you so much for your kindness and support! I will be paying a part of the travel and accommodation costs, and some of the money I fundraise will go towards the rest, but over 50% of money raised is purely for the Fund, which means that as a group we hope to raise, after all expenses, over £50,000!!! Which will be incredible for the Fund!
