The last race I ever ran was the 100metres at the age of eleven, now fast forward forty three years and I'm attempting to do the Great North Run 13.1miles or nearly 22k. I intend to walk, run, hobble, crawl or whatever it takes to finish the race before they have to re-open the A194M! (style really will be the least of my problems!)
My training is hopefully going ok although I still look more Dawn French than Paula Radcliffe!
The main focus that will drive me to finish will be the memory of dear Hannah. Nothing is more motivating than her memory and the tragedy that she was unable for fulfil all her dreams and aspirations and become the wonderful caring doctor she was destined to be.
The little known Hampshire Medics is a volunteer group of medics attending all sorts of tragedies in the South East and who desperately need more funding. They're far more specialized and experienced than paramedics.
