My story
11 climbers on the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro on
11.11.11 having generated
£11,000 sponsorship for Kenyan street kids and orphans
THE CHALLENGE:
To get 11 (at least) people to do a sponsored climb of Mt Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain, and the largest free-standing volcano on earth. The objective is to arrive at the snow-capped summit on 11.11.11 – the 11th November, 2011.
WHY?
To raise funds that are vital to helping care for African street children and orphans. Footsteps International already has a superb track record of bringing hope to hundreds of hopeless children, but desperately needs funds to continue its work.

Footsteps is a Christian Charity which focuses on caring for children in need, supports education and training and fights poverty and disability. Working with trusted partners in Kenya we run the Tumaini orphanage, Sunshine Home for street boys, skills training, school fees and feeding programmes.
