The Prince's Trust Palace to Palace 2016 · 2 October 2016 ·

The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

I am back on my bike again and this time supporting The Prince's Trust where cyclists raise funds to help change young lives.

Since its launch in 1976 by HRH The Prince of Wales, the Trust has helped more than 825,000 disadvantaged young people, with three in four achieving a positive outcome, with a move into education, employment or training. Unusually for most charities, the Trust has a particular focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) skills to better equip young people for a digital future. Having trained as an engineer, this has particular resonance for me to encourage others to follow this career path.

I am joining forces with other staff from my company who are a long-term supported of the Trust. Hopefully the October weather will be kind to us as we ride the 45 miles from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle.

Your support is appreciated.
