Babcock International Sunset to Sunrise Challenge · 3 October 2015

The nation’s leading first aid charity. Every year, more than 400,000 people learn how to save a life through our training programmes. Our volunteers provide first aid in their communities and thanks to them fewer lives will be lost needlessly. Raise money. Help save lives. Be the difference.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Many thanks to all who sponsored me for the Babcock International Sunset to Sunrise Challenge. To everyone else – it’s not too late!

For those of you who were waiting to make sure I completed the challenge – yes, I did!

As part of Babcock International's 2014-2016 partnership with St John Ambulance, employees from the Support Services Division are fundraising to support essential first aid training and services across the UK.

I participated with thirty-five colleagues in the Babcock International Sunset to Sunrise Challenge, walking through the night about fifteen miles on the South Downs.

The itinerary promised that: I'd challenge myself to my limits on this unique night time trek through the South Downs National Park. Following part of the famous South Downs Way; I’d battle fatigue, the elements and the demanding landscapes of one of southern England’s newest national parks; and I’d negotiate the rolling chalk hills and cliff tops that lie between Firle Beacon and the spectacular setting of Beachy Head, and all in a single night.

It is through your fundraising that we can make a fantastic difference to people’s lives.
