Iceland Volcano Challenge - a trip of fire and ice · 14 March 2015 to 21 March 2015 ·
I have not done anything sponsored since my school days when I did a sponsored spell, aged seven. I do remember it being very simple I asked my Mum, my Nan and the old lady next door (who was probably only 35 but everyone looks old when your seven) to sponsor me. This time it is going to be a lot harder and the stakes are higher.
Those of you that know me will know the highest thing I have come up against in recent years is the bar, so this challenge will be well out of my comfort zone. Not only do I have the actual challenge of climbing the Volcano (remember the ash cloud) but I have the harder challenge of training for it. To put this into perspective, I recently helped the NSPCC by putting up graphics for their Gherkin challenge where we walked down all 38 floors - and I literally could not walk the next day. So the training has well and truly started...wish me luck!
As you can see I have a huge fundraising target for this challenge and all proceeds will go to Isabel Hospice, which offers care and support for those suffering from cancer and their families. Your support and kindness in sponsoring me is very much appreciated.
