Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. As you probably know I have taken a six month sabbatical from work with the aim of doing a project in Africa for Vision Aid Overseas (VAO). I worked in Zimbabwe and in Kenya when I was in my twenties (a long long time ago!!) and I have always wanted to return to work for one of the optical charities. I am going to Burkina Faso in January 2010 but in the meantime am taking the opportunity to try and raise funds for VAO.(To see what they do please click on the link to the left of this note) It's a long time since I ran any distance, never mind 13 miles, but I am making the effort to get fit enough to do the Great North Run in September. I would be extremely grateful for your support but more importantly the people whom I and people like me can help will be eternally grateful for giving them the opportunity to see.
