Story
Hello and welcome to my JustGiving page.
On Sunday September 20 2009, I'm doing the Great North Run in aid of the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation. By "doing", what I actually mean is running quite slowly. By "running", what I actually mean is limping. By "quite" what I actually mean is very. On the other hand, you've got be in it to win it.
As you're no doubt aware, Sir Bobby's foundation was established to aid the early detection and treatment of cancer and all money raised is/will be spent under the NHS banner. It's a hugely worthwhile cause and one thrown into even sharper focus by the great man's recent passing. Further details can be found here: www.sirbobbyrobsonfoundation.org.uk
Anything you can spare, even if it's nothing*, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much indeed and what follows is some bumf about the whole JustGiving experience. All the best**, George.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
*I don't mean that.
**If appropriate.
