I am running in memory of Luke Rotherham (1983 - 2011) who was called home on 5th January 2011. Luke loved God and loved kids, especially kids with special needs. I got to know Luke when I got involved with Rhema Theatre Company (a Christian charity and theatre company) where he was then an actor/evangelist. He became the Associate Director for the Schools company until he was unexpected called to glory. Luke's passion for children with special needs led him to embark on a project to adapt Rhema's plays to be more multi-sensory to meet the meets of these kids. It is this dream and unfinished project that we want to carry on to enable Luke's vision live on. Though he has rested from his labours, we want to ensure that his good works continue.

For me personally, this is very important to me also because the last time I did the great Manchester Run (2008), Luke was my running partner and we run the entire course together till he sprint-finished the last 50 metres. I would have loved to do this with him again but i am sure he would look down approvingly and spur me on to better his time.

I would be most grateful if you would consider supporting this cause. These are children who often get left out as most theatre companies find them too hard to work with and much harder to connect with. These are for any children in special needs schools, from the severely autistic to the wheelchair bound who are incapable of speech or movement. These are messages that will stick with them for their entire lives!' Luke Rotherham

Thank you.
