Nuts Challenge · 1 September 2018
In Nepal many children are taken from their parents, trafficked and then held captive in a life of slavery. Child Rescue Nepal attempts to break that cycle by prosecuting the traffickers, recovering the children, returning them to their parents where possible but providing care, comfort and counselling in the meantime.
In November, I am travelling to Kathmandu to meet with the staff and to witness the amazing work that they do. I would like to go with as many donations as possible from you lovely lot. I will then personally match the total that you donate.
Although no sacrifice is necessary, to raise the profile of this charity and to encourage donations, the whole family has undertaken to complete the Nuts Challenge in September. This means everyone is running, jumping and scrambling their way through this "tough mudder" type challenge together. The bigger story is that the kids are doing this to support me in my efforts to fundraise.
As an added incentive, from the date of the Nuts Challenge until I return from Nepal I will abstein from caffeine and alcohol for the entire two month period.
I know that many of you may have a degree of charity "fatigue", having already given so much to your friends and family already this year...
... but if you could spare even a small donation it would be greatly appreciated.
If you have the time, watch the video in this link.
