Stratford Triathlon 2018 · 29 April 2018 ·

Inspired by the lives of Dr Dominic Beer and Joseph Harris we fund raise to support community projects, raise awareness and facilitate research in order to promote improved mental health in two groups of people: adults suffering from Severe and Enduring Mental Illness and young adults

Story

Our dear friend Joseph Harris died in South Africa in November of last year while doing charity and research work. We all still miss him very much: his charm, his boisterous sense of humour and of course that cheeky grin of his.

Joe loved triathlon and represented Great Britain in the sport. We are therefore (attempting to) compete in this year's Stratford-upon-Avon triathlon, to the honour of Joe's memory and to contribute to a cause close to his heart: the Dominic Beer Memorial Trust, a charity set up in honour of Joe's uncle, Dominic Beer, which aims to support projects or research that will benefit people suffering from severe mental illness, and of which Joe was a trustee.

George will be swimming, James will be running and Caolan will be cycling. Come, watch us and mock us on 29 April - and, please, give generously.
