Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am the slightly older than 21 age of 80 this year and feel like celebrating by doing something I have always wanted to.......SKY DIVING!!

So at 0800 hrs (BST) on Saturday 27th August 2011 you'll find me at The Skydive, Old Sarum, Salisbury, Wiltshire getting togged up, having that last shot of expresso to steady the nerves and preparing to see the world I have spent years exploring from a completely different angle! Hopefully the tandem jump will last long enough for me to open my eyes and see it!!

Such an event is also a chance to do a bit of good, hence I am asking you to help me celebrate by supporting my attempt to raise a bit of cash for the South West Thames Renal team. Some of you may know a close friend of mine, Jane Manley under went a live donor ABO Incompatible kidney transplant on 13 October 2011. jane was the first woman to trial this new procedure at St George's Trust Hospital in Tooting.

Frankly I have been amazed at how well she has done since, but more amazed at how many people need dialysis, transplants, and how many of us are affected by kidney problems at all levels throughout our life - if I can cadge a few coppers off you for throwing myself out of a plane a great height when I am 80 it will be worth the fear!!
