The Arsenal Foundation Challenge Jordan 2020 · 23 March 2020

The Arsenal Foundation is a grant-making charity of the Arsenal Football Club, which focuses on work to motivate and inspire young people - often through education and sport - to help them reach their potential and be the best they can.

Story

Hello!

From March 24-28th I will be completing (hopefully!) a four-day trek across the Jordan desert - from the Dead Sea to the lost city of Petra - to raise money for The Arsenal Foundation's ground-breaking Coaching for Life programme.

Co-developed in partnership with Save the Children, Coaching for Life uses football to help support the mental health and wellbeing of children affected by war, poverty and exploitation in Za'atari Refugee Camp, Jordan and the slum communities of Jakarta, Indonesia.

Earlier this year I was fortunate enough to visit Coaching for Life in Jakarta and it was incredible to witness first-hand the vital role that football can play in helping these children deal with the most difficult circumstances and emotions. It was amazing to see how much the programme, football and Arsenal meant to all of them.

By completing this trek, I hope the money I raise will play a small part towards ensuring that more children around the world can access and benefit from this life-changing programme.

Thanks for visiting - and donating! It's making a massive difference.
