Virgin London Marathon 2013 · 21 April 2013 ·

We support children and families in the East of England facing bereavement, mental health challenges and the imprisonment of loved ones. Last year, we helped over 4,700 families feel stronger and more connected. Your donation today ensures they get real support when it matters most.

Story

This is it! Our first marathon...

My sneakers and I have made a last-minute new year resolution: we decided that it was time for us to run our first marathon – in London of course.

I decided to run for Ormiston, an amazing Charity supporting the children of East England. I pledge to raise £100 per km run (1 mile = 1.6093, for the non-Continentals...). This is £4,200 for the 42 km of the full marathon.

My sneakers and I are pledging to run the distance under 4 hours. There are 7 weeks to go...including 2 bachelor parties + 2 weddings in the meantime: needless to say 4 hours will be close to mission impossible.

Dear friends, I need your support. I am aware that some of you only choose one charity to support during the London Marathon (I do the same...): but this year, you obviously HAVE to support us!

You can donate through JustGiving. Your details will be safe – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

Let's be tax efficient.

Thanks for your support.
