Having lost my hearing over the past 6 years, I have learnt how important advocacy is, as well as how difficult it is. The work the National Deaf Children's Society does means that children and teenagers who are deaf or hard of hearing have the support and guidance needed to advocate for themselves, as well as their family members.

The money I am raising will go towards the important job of helping to break the barriers that these children and young people face in a world made for hearing people. The charity's values believe that deaf children can do anything other children can do with the right support, and this is something I truly believe.
