SMA is a genetic disease that affects motor neurones. 1:40 of us is a carrier and in its most severe form children rarely live beyond 2 – making SMA the leading genetic cause of death in babies and toddlers. The SMA Trust is solely dedicated to funding research into a cure and treatments for SMA

Story

Yes. It's official. Georgia Mahony is getting on her bike...and cycling to Paris in three days along with thirteen intrepid Sheffield Haworth employees.

We will be setting off from the Sheffield Haworth offices on Thursday 8th September and plan to arrive in Paris on Saturday 10th.  This will be a huge challenge as we aim to cover over 90 miles each day which will involve many painful hours in the saddle! Parisians have been warned!

We are taking on this MAD challenge in order to raise money for the SMA Trust, which is a charity that means a great deal to all of us taking part.  SMA is a devastating, genetic disease. It is a leading genetic killer of infants and toddlers. The SMA Trust is the only UK charity dedicated solely to funding research into this debilitating condition. Scientists are making significant progress in finding a cure, for which we need your help.

I am aiming to raise £1000 towards the team’s total in order to help the SMA Trust fund the vital research they are doing into finding a cure.

I would really appreciate your support so please dig deep and give as generously as you can to this fantastic cause.

Thanks everyone!
