This is a year for challenging myself to do all those things I've always wanted to do but have never had the courage to try. Possibly the biggest challenge I'll undertake is tackling Britain's highest mountain: on the 29th June I'm going to (hopefully!) climb Ben Nevis.

I'll be doing so in support of Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity which endeavours to improve the lives of cancer sufferers, their families and carers. With one-in-three people diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, it is an illness that inevitably affects the lives of all of us.

So please dig deep, support Macmillan, and help me conquer a mountain.
