Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As an update - we made it, with all sorts of weather, aches, pains and fun we got to the top and back in a record time (well a record for us!!). Thanks for everyone's pledges and donations, I'll see you all soon for the cash....Check out some of our photos on the gallery.

We are Gary, Chris, Paul, Niel, Tony, Helen and myself - a group of friends that have talked a great deal about doing something for others but never quite got round to it because of our hectic schedules. So, on the 21st April, rather than spending the weekend improving Bargain Booze's profits we are going to climb Ben Nevis in aid of the fantastic St David's Hospice in Llandudno.

This is a charity that is very close to Gary's heart as the hospice provided exemplary ongoing care for his mother, Joyce (pictured) until she sadly passed away on the 20th February.

Paul and Helen are raising money for an equally worthy cause Nightingale House in Wrexham.

The main objective of St David’s Hospice is to provide care for people suffering from progressive, life threatening illnesses. This care will be provided in a homely, relaxed atmosphere and it is intended to meet the patient’s physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs.

At the moment there are only 11 beds within the hospice and they are planning to expand to create space for an additional 3 beds in the near future. The beds cost approximately £4,000; we have therefore set our sights on achieving this figure as a team, so they can offer the tremendous care they provide to others who so desparately need their support.

Your donation really will make a difference, whatever the amount; the clinical running costs currently stand at £1.6 million a year, with over 75% of this coming from fund-raising and voluntary donations.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
