Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. On the 26th august 2011, my mother, Geraldine Doran died after a seven year battle with kidney cancer. She was 43 years old.  She was beautiful, brave and an inspiring woman whose personal strength and courage gave her the will to see my sister and I grow. Over the last few months of my mother’s life, my father cared for her at home. Not all families have this option and charities such as James whale foundation provides support and care for people in their darkest hours. My friends and I have decided to climb Ben Nevis for this worthwhile cause, so please donate. When my family, friends and I started this fund we set a target to raise £1000, which we thought would be a stretch. Very quickly, the fantastic generosity of so many people caused us to re-set the target to £2000. But again, people’s generosity has overwhelmed us and we are now sitting with donations in excess of £4000. We do not plan to carry on adjusting the 'target' now, but will instead focus our efforts in making as many people as possible aware of the fund, and thereby get as much money raised for this great cause as possible, Thank you.
