Largactyl Shuffle – Sponsored Walk · 10 October 2009

CoolTan Arts believes mental wellbeing is enhanced by the power of creativity. It's a charity run by and for people with mental distress and exist to inspire the well-being, creativity and participation of a diverse range of people with mental distress through the production of quality art.

Story

I'm taking part in a sponsored walk, the Largactyl-Shuffle, on Saturday 10th October 2009 in aid of Cooltan Arts.

Cooltan Arts do great work working with people who have suffer from mental health issues, in order to help themselves through art therapy.

The walk not only covers the hidden history of Southwark, culture, art and the city, but it is the ONLY walk in London designed and run by a volunteer team, many of whom have experienced mental distress. I feel passionately about helping people who suffer mental distress, as I have personally seen its effect on people, sometimes robbing years from their lives.

If you can spare just a few pounds I'd very much appreciate anything you can give.

Many thanks

Gerard
