Children in Crossfire Five day walk Camino De Santiago · 18 June 2013

Vision: A compassionate world where every child can reach their full potential. Mission: To work with others to tackle the injustices of poverty affecting children Registered Charity in Northern Ireland (NIC101412) and The Republic of Ireland (20045517):

Story

 

Children in Crossfire’s projects in Tanzania, Ethiopia and The Gambia, provide facilities where malnourished children are fed; where children with cancer survive and thrive; where children with disability are supported and re-habilitated; where vulnerable children are protected and where they are given the chance toparticipatein the decisions that affect them.

 

Simply where the money goes

 

£5 will feed a child in Tanzania for 1 month

 

£10 supports malaria prevention programmes for 5 families in Tanzania

 

£10 will buy 1 braille story bookfor a blind primary school student in the Gambia

 

£25 will buy and distribute12 mosquito nets for young children in Tanzania and Ethiopia

 

£50will feed 10 malnourishedyoung children in Ethiopia for 1 month

 

£125 will buy 1 braille typewriter to help visually impaired children in the Gambia to go to school

 

£330 will treat 2 Children with disabilities at the orthopaedic unit at St Luke’s Hospital in Ethiopia

 

£750 will buy enough chemotherapy drugs to treat all the children at the Muhimbili Children’s Cancer Unit in Tanzania for 1 week
