Story
Thanks for taking the time to read my page. If you have any further questions about the event please contact me.
My son, Leo Fearless Beau Edwards, was born at the QMC, Nottingham on the 26th July, 2016. He was born at 28 weeks with suspected problems with his heart. Unfortunately, due to his age he had to be rushed to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) where he spent a total of 59 days. We met some incredible people during our stay; both parents and staff. The money raised for this event will go towards buying specialist equipment for the unit that will help both the staff and parents. More specifically, the money raised will go towards blankets that allow babies having phototherapy treatment to be held outside of the incubator/cot. This treatment is to help with jaundice and usually has to take place in the cot or incubator, often taking hours and limiting the chance for precious cuddles.
To raise the money I will be running from North to South Wales in 5 days. It is a total of 177 miles and 28,000ft ascent (same as Mt Everest). This event will take place next October. If you would like to run any part of the route with me, please let me know.
I also have a Facebook page - @fearlessfundraising please take a look for updates and please share with your friends.
