In memory of Gill Castles

We provide specialist palliative and end of life care for adults living across central and south west London. This year, we must raise £13m to supplement the funding we receive from the NHS so we can continue to provide our outstanding, compassionate care, free of charge. Your support is vital.

Story

Well everyone, I've done it and I'm still alive. Picked up an injury in training so it was extremely slow, nevertheless I made it round and ran all the way. Thanks to everyone who has supported me and donated. It will all make a difference and provide help for those at a crucial time. You've all been extremely generous.

I'm running the Virgin London Marathon in April for the Trinity Hospice (see the story below). Dragging my old body round 26.2 miles of London streets.

Anything you would like to give would be most appreciated and put to very good use. Thank you so much to all of you who have donated and are donating to help the hospice in Gill's name. You have all been extremely generous.

Thanks for coming to visit our JustGiving page. I thought I'd like to do something useful in memory of my beautiful wife Gill who died in January at the Trinity Hospice. She was there for just 3 weeks as she went through her final fight with cancer and I can't speak too highly of the facilities and staff. They made us really comfortable and welcome, and the staff really couldn't do enough for us.

If you have to go through the worst thing in life, you couldn't hope to be in a better place, which is why I set up this page in memory of Gill to help them keep helping others in the same way. So however much or little you want to give, however often or as a one off, is the best way I can think of, of remembering the amazing shining person that remains in the hearts of all who had the privilege of meeting her.

Thanks, Graeme

Their standard bit follows........

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
